This series consists of miscellaneous records of the Women's Mission Society (WMS) of the American Evangelical Lutheran Church. They include undated records and those from 1958 and 1961. One folder pertains to the Joint Planning Committee of the Lutheran Church Women, a committee established to develop the women's auxiliary for the future Lutheran Church in America. The items include two reports from meetings in Chicago, Illinois, in June and August of an unspecified year. The two copies are from the same meetings, but each have different notes written in their margins. The other items include a copy of the budget for the Joint Planning Committee for 1962, and excerpts of minutes from meetings of the Joint Planning Committee for the Nebraska Synod. Other items in this series include a report from the WMS treasurer pertaining to the history of WMS contributions during its 50-year existence; an undated WMS district membership list; several copies of a letter sent to WMS District 8, each version with different notes written in; and a copy of information regarding the Mary Seeley Knudstrup Scholarship Fund.
